A slideshow program for PC
FlipFlip is a free and open-source photography program for PC that was created by an indie developer who goes by the name, ififfy. This multimedia tool allows users to take image folders and web albums, and create slideshows for them. Various effects can also be added to make a better presentation.
Similar to other slideshow makers, such as PhotoStage and Icecream Slideshow Maker, FlipFlip is a tool that lets users take their local or cloud images and add various presentation effects and audio tracks to them in order to create elaborate slideshows that can be shared with friends and family.
How do I use FlipFlip?
FlipFlip features a sleek and modern user interface. You will see a toolbar on the left side of the screen. Click on the "hamburger" menu at the top to expand it and see what the icons represent. The first is called Scene, and this is where you'll start. Click on the circular "+" icon at the bottom-right corner and choose "Add Scene".
Next, click on the same button again and you can choose to add local media files or a URL to a web album. The left toolbar will provide you with advanced options to add effects, as well as custom text and audio tracks. Once done, rename your scene at the top and click on the play button next to it to see a preview.
Going back to the main menu, the Scene Generators options can automatically create Scenes from your media library. The Scene Grid will help you manage multiple scenes at once. There are plenty more options to explore, which will be overwhelming and the process of sharing scenes with others is rather complicated. Thankfully, it comes with an extensive built-in tutorial.
